COVID-19: ANGOLA REGISTERS 203 NEW INFECTIONS AND 59 RECOVERIES

The Angolan health authorities announced, last Tuesday, the recording of 203 new Covid-19 infections, 59 recoveries and 4 deaths, in the last 24 hours.

According to the secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, who spoke at the usual data update session, 119 new cases were diagnosed in Luanda Province, 50 in Cuanza Norte, 11 in Cuando Cubango, 10 in Huambo, 9 in Benguela and 4 in Bie.

The group of new patients, whose ages range from 11 months to 70 years, is comprised by 136 males and 67 females.

Regarding the deaths, Franco Mufinda mentioned being related to 4 Angolan citizens, 3 males and a female, with ages going from 34 to 72 years, who resided in Luanda, Malange, Cunene and Huambo.

Angola registers a total of 13,818 positive cases, 328 deaths, 6,583 recovered, 6,908 active diseased.

Currently, of the positive cases, nine are in critical condition with invasive mechanical ventilation, 10 are severe, 187 moderate, 393 with mild symptoms and 6,309 asymptomatic.

Moreover, the health authorities currently control 504 patients admitted to treatment centers in the country.
