Luanda - The Angolan population is estimated at 33 million, according to figures published by the National Statistics Institute (INE).

The information published Tuesday by the local daily newspaper Jornal de Angola indicates that the growth in Angola's population over the last few years is due to an improvement in living conditions, and that the biggest percentage of the country's inhabitants are women at 16.9 million.

It also said that most of the Angolan population is extremely young (64.9 percent), with an estimated 21.4 million people under the age of 25, which may be an important factor for driving economic and social development.

According to INE, 63.5 percent of residents by area of residence are located in the urban area, which corresponds to 20.9 million inhabitants. Population density is 26.54 inhabitants per square kilometre.

The tool allows the acquisition of Treasury Bonds online, provided the investor has a functional tax identification number (NIF), a regular bank account and another custody account.
