Standing with teachers: 60 years of protecting the profession, advancing its status and shaping our futures
On 5 October, we observed World Teachers’ Day 2026 under the theme “Standing with teachers: 60 years of protecting the profession, advancing its status and shaping our futures.”
Teaching does not only happen in classrooms. Educators who work in the informal field and on digital platforms are teachers too. They reach children and young people where they are, with commitment and very few resources.
We honour every teacher, in every setting, who helps a child learn, dream and believe. Thank you for shaping our futures.
