The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) offers scholarships to international students who wish to study at Japanese universities as undergraduate students under the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Program for 2021 as follows.


Requirements

Eligibility
i) Applicants must have the nationality of a country that has diplomatic relations with Japan. An applicant who has Japanese nationality at the time of application is not eligible. However, persons with dual nationality who hold Japanese nationality and whose place of residence at the time of application is outside of Japan are eligible to apply as long as they choose the nationality of the foreign country and give up their Japanese nationality by the date of their arrival in Japan. Applicant screening will be conducted at the Japanese diplomatic mission in the country of applicant’s nationality.


Benefits

Allowance: 117,000 yen per month. The scholarship is cancelled in principle if the recipient is absent from the university or preparatory Japanese-teaching institution for an extended period. In case that the recipient research in a designated region, 2,000 or 3,000 yen per month will be added. The monetary amount each year may be subject to change due to budgetary reasons.
The scholarship will be also cancelled in principle in the following situations. If the recipient has been receiving the scholarship despite his/her falling under any of the following situations, the recipient will be ordered to return the amount of scholarship that he/she received during the period wherein he/she was involved with any of the following situations

The Standard Bank bursary fund is designed to promote academic excellence and shape the next generation of African talent and African leaders within South Africa and the continent at large.

The Standard Bank Group bursary fund considers undergraduate and postgraduate studies. Bursary beneficiaries will be required to work for Standard Bank if in the event they receive an offer of employment by the Bank upon graduation.

Benefits

University fees.
Accommodation – in a university residence or in private accommodation. Private accommodation costs will be subject to certain limits, to be explained to successful candidates upon the provisional bursary allocation.
Meals – provided by the university or self-catering.
Books and other study materials.
A laptop computer.
A monthly stipend to cover other living costs.
Transport between home and campus 4 times a year at the cost of a bus ticket.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, data is being provided and additional travel arrangements were made for students to go home.

The Angolan first lady, Ana Dias Lourenço, recently traveled to Paris to be treated for a virus. The type of virus is not known.

The information is being advanced by Africa Intelligence, an African Intelligence Site that daily monitors the internal and secret affairs of African countries.

Ana Dias has always done her health routines in the USA, where she also has an apartment, as she has lived there for 4 years, but the U.S. border is closed, so the USA and France agreed to evacuate her to Paris, being accompanied by two doctors, said the Africa Intelligence Site.

The First Lady was last seen publicly on 9 May, 2020.
