Covid-19: Angola reports record 215 new infections, 31 recoveries

  At least 215 new positive cases of covid-19, six deaths and 31 recoveries have been reported in the last 24 hours in Angola, the Health authorities announced Saturday evening in Luanda.

Delivering the daily covid-19 update, the secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, said central Benguela and Huambo provinces have recorded two positive cases each, while northern Zaire announced 20 and the capital, Luanda, recorded 191 infections.

The ages of the newly infected range from one to 84 years, including 134 males and 81 females.

The dead involve Luanda residents, being four males and two females, with ages from 50 to 88 years.

Luanda has reported 30 recoveries and and Benguela one.

Angola’s covid-19 statistics show 6,246 positive cases, 218 deaths, 2,716 recoveries and 3,312 active patients.
