DRC ELIMINATE ANGOLA FROM 2022 AFCON RACE

A goal scored by the Congolese Kebano at 63 minutes put the Angolan National Team out of the 2022 African Cup of Nations (AFCON2022) race that will be played in Cameroon.

Angolan players were unable to turn into goals the few opportunities that they created in the 11 de Novembro Stadium, in Luanda, playing against the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
Strategic and way more experienced, the Congolese started the game by putting pressure on the attack and, until close to minute 15, kept the hosts in their last stronghold.

Angola suffered the solitary goal of the match in the 63rd minute, by Kebano, rewarding, in some way, the most offensive posture of the visitors throughout the challenge.

With only one point (two games left) the national team can only reach seven. The Gambia and Gabon total seven points each and the DRC now have with six points.

Presenting US election updates

Biden wins Georgia, Trump wins North Carolina

“Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said Tuesday that a randomized audit of voting machines across the state did not find any evidence of hacking. Machines were inspected in Cobb, Douglas, Floyd, Morgan, Paulding and Spalding counties, the secretary of state told local news station Channel 2.

The counties, which include a portion of Atlanta’s suburbs, were chosen because Republicans had voiced “elevated concerns” over election results there, Raffensperger said. His office wanted to give the nation “assurance” that Georgia’s election results are valid. “The system is secure,” Raffensperger told Fox 5 Atlanta, adding, “the vote was counted correctly.”

Report by Sarah Boboltz

“Wisconsin has completed its statewide vote canvass and found Biden beat Trump by 20,612 votes, The Associated Press reported Tuesday. Trump has until Wednesday evening to file a petition for a recount in Wisconsin.

His campaign has indicated it would pursue one. The recount would cost Trump $ 8 million, which the Wisconsin Elections Commission said would need to be paid upfront. Wisconsin’s 10 electoral votes would not be enough to change the outcome of the election.

Biden's transition team announced more senior members of his administration on Tuesday, including attorney Mike Donilon as a senior adviser, former Biden campaign manager Jen O'Malley Dillon as deputy chief of staff and Rep. Cedric Richmond (D-La.) As a senior adviser and director of the White House Office of Public Engagement. ”

“Biden will announce some senior members of staff Tuesday, the New York Times reported. Rep. Cedric L. Richmond will oversee public outreach, in a job that Valerie Jarrett once had when she worked for former President Barack Obama. Campaign manager Jen O’Malley Dillon will become a deputy chief of staff, likely overseeing White House operations. Longtime confidant Steve Ricchetti will serve as counselor to the president, the paper reported. ”

Report by Lisa Hearon

“All three attorneys representing Trump’s campaign in its federal lawsuit in Pennsylvania moved on Monday to withdraw from the case seeking to stop the certification of the state’s election results. Linda Kerns, John Scott and Douglas Bryan filed the motion the day before a judge is set to hear the case.

Attorney Marc A. Scaringi will now represent the campaign in the case, according to the filing. Scaringi published a blog post earlier this month on his law firm’s website that calls Biden “President-Elect” and says that the Democrat “has successfully claimed the role of the 46th president of the United States.”

Trump campaign legal advisor Jenna Ellis told HuffPost in a statement that substituting the attorneys with Scaringi “is consistent with routine managing of complex litigation.” The campaign did not answer HuffPost’s question about whether it was aware of Scaringi’s blog post. Monday’s motion is the second set of Trump campaign lawyers to withdraw from the Pennsylvania case.

Attorneys Ronald Hicks, Carolyn McGee and firm Porter Wright Morris & Arthur LLP filed a motion to withdraw on Thursday. ”
