Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) COVID-19 Student Action Fund 2020 for University Students Worldwide ($USD100,000 in Funding)



The CGI U COVID-19 Student Action Fund will identify and support select students at universities around the world who are committed to address the COVID-19 pandemic. Working within the CGI U Commitment to Action model, this fund will provide at least $100,000 in total funding to students, with each grant awarded ranging from $2,000 to $5,000. This action fund is geared towards awareness and prevention campaigns, social enterprises, infectious disease monitoring and response systems, and other emergency response initiatives that are providing immediate support for public health practitioners and other essential workers on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Requirements
Students are eligible to apply to the CGI U COVID-19 Student Action Fund if they have previously been accepted to CGI U or if they have never previously been accepted to CGI U;
they are at least 18 years of age; and they are currently enrolled in an institution of higher education at the time of application.

Benefits
In addition to receiving seed funding for their commitments, all selected students will receive invitations to participate in the CGI U 2021 program, including an invitation to attend the CGI U 2021 annual event at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland from April 9-11, 2021.

The Global Good Fund Fellowship is a 12-month program supporting the leadership development of social enterprise leaders across the globe. The Global Good Fund develops each innovator by pairing them with [1] professional executive coach and [1] c-suite business executive who serves as a mentor, and by providing leadership assessment resources, a network of peers, sector expertise, and targeted financial capital.

Requirements

The Global Good Fund Fellowship is open to social enterprise leaders based anywhere in the world, who are trying to make the world a better place through business. 
Ideal Fellows are dedicated to their own self-discovery and development, under 40 years of age, hold a leadership position at their social enterprise, operating for 3-5 years and demonstate coachability.

The GlobalGiving Accelerator is an opportunity for you and your organization to build skills, access tools, and grow your base of supporters to achieve crowdfunding success. When you graduate, your organization becomes a permanent member of GlobalGiving, and you’ll have access to all the tools, training, and one-on-one support available in the GlobalGiving community.

Organizations that successfully complete the GlobalGiving Accelerator by raising at least $5,000 total from a minimum 40 different donors will earn:

UNECA Youth Innovators Competition and Design Bootcamp 2020 on COVID-19



The United Nations Commission for Africa and its partners are pleased to invite youths from all walks of life to the first COVID-19 Innovation Competition and Design Bootcamp 2020, to be held virtually form 15-26 June 2020. The Bootcamp will bring together a selected number of students from across the continent and their partners through the innovation competition. The Bootcamp will be organized through a major online platform, for promoting innovation and instilling entrepreneurial competencies and imparting technical skills that may not be taught at colleges and universities in Africa (e.g. coding mobile devices, rapid prototyping with 3D Printing etc). Students will work in teams to address common challenges, attend classes and access mentors and coaches.

Participation
• The bootcamp is open to all youths up to the age of 30 that may or may not be in colleges and universities across Africa, including those in innovation hubs or in employment are welcome.

• Participants might be supported by partners abroad as well as professionals in research centres, innovation hubs, universities and institutes as well as government and business leaders.

Besides the opportunities to meet business and government leaders, the top 20 innovations selected in each of the 2 categories will be profiled on the ECA and partners’ websites; and the top 10 in each category will be given the opportunity to convince and get the support of judges, governments, investors and potential partners and collaborators.
