Luanda, Angola – 31 October 2025:
As the world marks World Cities Day, the conclusion of Global Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Week (24–31 October), and the vibrant festivities of Halloween in several countries, this date also carries personal significance for Sofonie Dala, the visionary founder of a global digital platform committed to developing solutions for the world’s most pressing challenges.

This year’s Global MIL Week theme — “Minds Over AI: MIL in Digital Spaces” — underscores the urgency of strengthening critical thinking, ethical understanding, and responsible engagement in an era where artificial intelligence increasingly shapes the flow of information and media content. The campaign emphasizes the importance of human judgment and integrity in navigating the digital world.

Over the past five years, Sofonie Dala’s platform has served as a fully digital hub of empowerment, education, and innovation — providing life-changing content accessible from every corner of the globe. Her mission has been to connect, inspire, and equip global citizens through technology and knowledge.

To commemorate her birthday and this globally significant day, volunteer and singer Filismina has prepared a heartfelt musical tribute, performing “Contando Minhas Bênçãos” by Brazilian gospel artist Isadora Pompeo, along with its English adaptation, “Counting My Blessings.”

Having visited cities around the world, Sofonie expresses joy that this celebration aligns with a day dedicated to urban innovation and global literacy. She reminds the public that “our brains depend on the quality of information we consume. The knowledge we engage with determines our perceptions, beliefs, and attitudes.”

From traditional media to digital archives, from libraries to AI-powered platforms, Sofonie Dala advocates for a future where informed minds lead ethical digital societies. Her leadership continues to inspire individuals to use technology not as a tool of distraction, but as a force for transformation.
