Covid-19: Governor calls for greater individual responsibility

Sumbe - The governor of Cuanza Sul province, Job Capapinha, Wednesday in Sumbe adviced the population in the region to a greater individual responsibility in order to minimize the transmission of Covid-19.

The advice of the governor, who was speaking at the meeting of the Provincial Commission for Response to Covid-19, comes as a result of the fact that in the period 14 to 26 October the province has diagnosed four new cases, two in the municipality of Sumbe and the same number in Porto Amboim, with one dead.

"We cannot underestimate the guidelines given by the Government for the preservation of more lives, for this reason we must continue to raise awareness among politicians, churches, scholars, traditional authorities, youth (...) that the disease is real and can decimate millions of people", he said.

Job Capapinha stressed that the measures are well known and can be within the reach of every citizen, because "death is imminent, it does not choose anyone and if we do not respect it, we will continue to bury many citizens".

He urged the raising of the conscience of each of the citizens to, once again and with sacrifice, stop the Covid-19.

He praised the United Revolutionary Youth (JURA), the youth arm of Unita, for the speeches and the awareness campaign that it has carried out to protect itself more and more.
