Foreign minister hails Angola and South Korea cooperation

Luanda - Angolan Foreign minister, Téte António, Thursday praised the resilience and courage of Angola and South Korea in boosting bilateral cooperation at a time of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In a message sent to his Korean counterpart, Chung Eui-Yong, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Téte António stressed that Angola and South Korea have always had an excellent and mutually advantageous relationship.

"These excellent relations are summed up in the exchange of visits at the most varied levels for regular consultations on domestic and international issues of bilateral interest," he stressed.

In 1993 Angola and South Korea signed a General Agreement on Economic, Technical and Scientific Cooperation, on which basis a Bilateral Commission was established, whose first working session, in 2004, was held in Luanda and the second, in 2009, in Seoul.

The third meeting of the Bilateral Commission between the two countries is scheduled for April this year.
