Covid-19: Angola reports 2,789 recoveries, 989 new cases



Luanda - Angola has reported 2,789 patients recovered, 989 new infections and 10 deaths over the last 24 hours.

According to the daily health bulletin, 2,721 people recovered reside in Luanda, 36 in Huíla, 26 in Huambo and 6 in Uíge.

Among the new cases, the bulletin said, 512 were diagnosed in Luanda, 101 in Cabinda, 87 in Benguela, 76 in Lunda Norte, 73 in Huambo, 64 in Namibe, 27 in Cuanza Sul, 18 in Lunda Sul, 16 in Uíge and 15 in Huíla.

Aged between one month and 91 years, 602 are male and 387 are female.

In the last 24 hours, the laboratories processed 3,847 samples, with a daily positivity rate of 25.7 percent.

The deaths were registered in Luanda province.

Angola has 87,625 confirmed cases, 70,266 recovered, 1,799 deaths and 15,560 active cases. Of those active, 12 are in a critical state, 44 serious, 57 moderate, 90 light and 15,357 asymptomatic.

In the treatment centres, 292 patients are hospitalised, while 170 are in institutional quarantine.
