Ondjiva - The artists associated with the Academia Movimento Cultural in Cunene province on Thursday asked the authorities for performance rooms.
The wish was expressed by the coordinator of the organization, Oscar Ndamenaposi, saying the creation of these spaces will help boost culture in the region.
Speaking at the second edition of the colloquium on the State of Culture in Cunene, he said the lack of proper rooms for the exhibition of theater plays, dances and music impairs the creativity of the art makers.
Oscar added that the province is rich in cultural aspects, but lacks appropriate spaces for artists to present their plays, a concern that should be resolved in favor of the appreciation and preservation of culture.
The meeting addressed topics such as "Culture strengthens the nation", "The importance of the puberty party", and "Culture in the process of insertion of minority populations".
