Covid-19: Angola reports 1,378 recoveries, 128 new cases

 


Luanda – Angola announced last Friday the recovery of 1,378 patients and 128 new cases in the last 24 hours.

According to the daily bulletin, among those recovered, 243 live in Zaire province, 219 in Malanje, 217 in Namibe, 197 in Cabinda, 138 in Benguela, 107 in Lunda Norte, 106 in Huíla, 92 in Luanda, 47 in Huambo, 7 in Bié, 4 in Cunene and 1 in Lunda Sul.

From the new cases, 100 area male and 28 female patients, aged between 1 and 78 years, 54 were diagnosed in Cabinda, 37 in Luanda, 20 in Huambo, 5 in Uíge, 3 in Namibe, 2 in Bié. , 2 in Lunda Sul, 2 in Zaire, 1 in Benguela, 1 in Huíla and 1 in Lunda Norte.

In the latest 24 hours, 2,131 samples were processed by RT-PCR, with a positivity rate of 5.3 percent.

Angola has registered a cumulative 98,029 confirmed cases of which 2,489 are active, 1,893 have died and 93,647 have recovered.

From the active cases, 1 is in a critical condition, 11 are severe, 10 are moderate, 31 are mild and 2,436 are asymptomatic.

In the treatment centers, 53 patients are hospitalized, while 17 are in institutional quarantine and 2,436 are in home isolation.
