Covid-19: Angola reports 247 new infections, 416 recoveries

 Angolan health authorities announced Saturday the recovery of 416 patients, 247 new infections and five deaths in the last 24 hours.

According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, who was speaking at the country's usual update session, 194 were diagnosed in Luanda, 26 in Cunene, 15 in Uige, 11 in Cabinda and one in Bengo.

The list of new patients, whose ages range from 2 to 80 years, is made up of 156 males and 91 females.

In relation to the deaths, the official said that they were registered in Luanda, with two, Uíge, with two, and Cuanza Sul with one.

Those recovered, he said, 392 were registered in Luanda, 16 in Zaire, 3 in Benguela, 2 in Cabinda, Bengo, Bié, Cunene, with one recovery each.

Angola has a record of 10,805 cases, with 284 deaths, 4,523 recovered and 5,998 active cases. Of the active people, 16 are in critical condition with invasive mechanical ventilation, 29 severe, 152 moderate, 356 with mild symptoms and 5,445 asymptomatic.
