Covid-19: Noncompliance with measures blamed for increase in cases

 Angola?s Health minister Sílvia Lutucuta said Friday that the increase in cases of Covid-19, in the last two weeks, 30 percent of the total cases, was due to the non-compliance with the measures laid down by Presidential Decree on the Disaster Situation, in force.

The The official was speaking at a press conference on the epidemiological situation of Covid-19 in the country.

According to her, the Sars Cov 2 virus exists and is spreading grief and pain within families, so the failure to comply with the measures is fatal. 

“If we do not comply with biosafety measures, such as handwashing and using alcohol gel, social distancing, we will reach a total collapse,” warned the minister. 

The country has 8,829 positive cases,  265 deaths, 3,384 recoveries and 5,180 active patients.
