Covid-19: Angola detects 197 new infections, 77 recoveries

  At least 197 new positive cases of Covid-19 have been reported in the last 24 hours in Angola that also recorded two deaths and 77 recoveries in the same period.

The The information was released Saturday evening in Luanda by the secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, while delivering the daily Covid-19 update.

According to the official, of the above mentioned cases, 26 came from northern Malanje province, three from southeastern Cuando Cubango, three from Uíge and 160 detected in the capital, Luanda.

The newly infected people include 125 males and 72 females, with ages ranging from one to 100 years.

The two deaths occurred in Luanda.

Angola’s current Covid-19 figures show 9,026 positive cases, 267 deaths, 3,461 recoveries and 5,298 active patients.
