Covid-19: Angola announces 160 new cases and 8 recovered

Health authorities announced the registration, in the last 24 hours, of other 160 new occurrences, 6 deaths and 8 recovered patients of Covid-19.

According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, who spoke at the usual data update session, there are 92 men and 68 women, aged between 1 month and 90 years.

According to the data 137 new patients were diagnosed in the province of Luanda, 19 in Namibe, and 4 in Huíla.

The deaths recorded in Luanda, 5 Angolans and 1 Russian citizen, are of citizens aged between 39 and 84.

Angola registers a total of 7,622 positive cases, with 247 deaths, 3,030 recovered and 4,345 current diseased.

Of the diseased, nine are in critical condition with invasive mechanical ventilation, 20 severe, 101 moderate, 411 have mild symptoms and 3,804 asymptomatic.

There are 592 patients under medical care in the country's treatment centres.
