Welcome to the Seeds of Hope and Action Exhibition!
Dear friends, students, scholars, activists, and change-makers near and far,
We are delighted to extend a heartfelt welcome to all — no matter where you're from, who you are, or how far you've travelled — to join us for one of the most inspiring sustainability exhibitions of the year: The Seeds of Hope and Action.
This week-long exhibition is a dynamic, immersive celebration of the interconnectedness of people and planet, with a strong focus on how individuals like you can be powerful agents of change.
We are thrilled to announce that Sofonie Dala, the courageous heroine of many environmental and educational causes, is actively participating in this event. Her unwavering commitment to climate ustice, sustainability, and education continues to shine — and this week, she is once again stepping up, volunteering to make this event a true success.
On the first day, Sofonie teamed up with a vibrant first-year undergraduate from Imperial College London who was mesmerized by York’s peaceful, green surroundings — lakes, birds, hedgehogs, and all.
As they distributed flyers together, she mentored him in building confidence, public engagement, and meaningful participation in environmental advocacy. This collaboration turned into a powerful learning experience and a connection that reflects the spirit of this event: empowering others, spreading knowledge, and growing together.
Whether you're in York, Leeds, London, Edinburgh, or even outside the UK, we warmly invite you to attend. Many participants have travelled from far and wide — what’s stopping you? The doors are open, the energy is vibrant, and the seeds of transformation are already being sown. Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity.
Let’s turn hope into action — together.
