Malanje - 1º de Agosto-A team were crowned champions of the national junior women’s handball championship after beating 1º de Agosto-B, by 28-18, in the final of the competition played Saturday in Malanje Province.
The team started the game very strong, leading the scoreboard until the minute 7 when the team were ahead of the match with 5-1 gap lead.
However, the opponents turned things around scoring two goals in four minutes, stopping the opposite attack, which remained for 8 minutes without scoring a single goal.
Superior in all aspects, team A were more dynamic and dominated the match again increasing the score to 7-3.
With this victory, 1º de Agosto-A take to its gallery the third consecutive national title.
In the match for 3rd and 4th place, Petro de Luanda lost 18-23 to Casa do Pessoal do Porto de Lobito.
Thirteen teams from the provinces of Malanje, Luanda, Bengo, Benguela, Huíla, Huambo, Namibe and Moxico participated in the competition.
