Luanda – The Security Affairs Office ( Casa da Segurança) to the President of the Republic is now designated the Military Affairs Office (Casa Militar) to the President of the Republic.
The decision is meant to readjust its organic structure and adapt to the functional need in assisting the Head of State and Incumbent of the Executive Power, in performance of the functions.
The information was released Wednesday on the Angolan Presidency's Facebook page, which cites the Organic Statute, published in the country’s Gazette on December 9th.
It clarifies that the Military Affairs Office to the President of the Republic is an Auxiliary body of the President of the Republic tasked with providing assistance, advice and direct and immediate technical support to the President of the Republic in the performance of his functions, especially in matters of national security and in guarantee of presidential security and defence.
As a result of the readjustment, the Minister of State and Head of the Security Affairs Office to the President of the Republic is now the Minister of State and Head of the Military Affairs Office to the President of the Republic.
He is in charge of directing, supervising, supervising, guiding the functional and operational performance, the preparation and development of the Military Affairs Office to the President of the Republic.
Among other attributions, it is incumbent upon the Minister of State and Head of the Military Affairs Office to the President of the Republic to assist the President in matters of national security.
In addition to the Minister of State and Head of the Military Affairs Office to the President of the Republic, the Board of Directors of the Military Affairs has a Deputy Chief.
It also has, in its structure, Collegiate Advisory Bodies, namely the Superior Technical Council, the Strategic-Operational Council and the Personnel and Management Council.
