Covid-19: Angola reports 83 new cases, 44 recoveries

Luanda - The health authorities announced this Thursday the registration of 83 new cases and the recovery of 44 patients in the last 24 hours.


According to the health bulletin, 73 were diagnosed in Luanda, 3 in Cabinda, 3 in Uige, 2 in Benguela, 1 in Bié and 1 in Cunene.

The list is made up of 49 male and 34 female patients, aged between 1 and 66.

In the last 24 hours, 2,445 samples were processed by RT-PCR, with a positivity rate of 2.3%.

Of those recovered, 27 reside in Luanda, 9 in Cabinda, 6 in Zaire and 2 in Cunene.

Angola registers a cumulative number of 65,648 confirmed cases, of which 276 are active, 1,737 have died and 63,635 have been recovered.

Of the active cases, 3 are severe, 30 moderate, 37 mild and 206 asymptomatic.
