Covid-19: Angola records 207 new infections in 24 hours

 At least 207 new positive cases of Covid-19, one death and one recovery have been reported in the last 24 hours in Angola, the Health authorities announced.

The secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, said 152 of the infections were recorded in Luanda, 18 in northern Uíge province, 14 in northern Cabinda and seven in northern Malanje.

Southern Huíla province has reported five cases, southeastern Namibe with five and central Benguela and Huambo with two each.

Delivering the daily Covid-19 update, Franco Mufinda said 125 of the newly infected are males and 82 females, with ages ranging from one to 85 years.

The official said the death was reported in Luanda, involving a 53-year old male patient. The recovery was also reported in the capital.

Angola’s Covid-19 figures show 7,829 positive cases, 248 deaths, 3,031 recoveries and 4,450 active patients.
