Covid-19: 71 new infections, 23 recoveries reported in Angola

Luanda - The national epidemiological situation has registered 71 new infections, two deaths and 23 recovered patients in the last 24 hours.

 

That data was revealed Friday by the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, during the usual updating session on the pandemic.

Among the new cases are four diagnosed in the province of Zaire and one in Cabinda.

The new patients, 51 male and 20 female, are aged between 23 and 73 years.

In relation to the two deaths, Franco Mufinda said that was a Cuban and an Angolan citizen.

The country has 2,876 positive cases, with 115 deaths, 1,167 recovered and 1,594 active.

Of the active cases, three are in a critical state with invasive mechanical ventilation, 22 severe, 45 moderate, 50 with mild symptoms and 1,474 asymptomatic.
