Covid-19: Angola with 80 new cases, one death and 13 recovered

The health authorities have registered 80 new positive cases, one death and 13 recovered patients in the last 24 hours.


According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, who was updating on the pandemic in the country, there are three cases registered in Benguela province, nine in Soyo municipality, Zaire province, and one in Cabinda.

Among the new cases, according to Franco Mufinda, whose ages range from 1 to 87 years, there are 47 male and 33 female patients.

To date, he said, only four provinces in the country have not registered positive cases, namely Lunda Sul, Cuando Cubango, Namibe and Huambo.

Angola has 2,551 confirmed cases of Covid-19, with 107 deaths, 1,041 recovered patients and 1,403 active.

Among the active patients, two are in critical condition with invasive mechanical ventilation, 23 severe, 36 moderate, 45 mild and 1,301 asymptomatic.
