33 perish to ashes in DRC as fuel tanker collides with crowded bus

A head-on collision between a fuel tanker and a crowded bus took the lives of 33 in the Democratic Republic of Congo a short while ago.

DNT Correspondent Romanu Ngwa reports that according to the head of the traffic police of Kwango province, 33 people were completely charred by the big fire caused by the collision between a large vehicle carrying fuel and a crowded bus.

The burning vehicles left a trail of fire on the road after the explosion that left the occupants of the bus without any chance of survival.

The collision occurred at Kibuba, a town located 180 kilometers east of Kinshasa along the N1 heading eastward on the Kinshasa-Kikwit highway.
