ANGOLA REPORTS 757 RECOVERIES IN LAST 24 HOURS

Angolan authorities reported Friday 757 recoveries, aged 1- 63 years old, and two deaths in the last 24 hours.

The recoveries occurred in the provinces of Luanda (507), Cabinda and Cuanza Norte (50 each), Malanje (49), Benguela (43), Huila (18), Uíge (12), Bengo (9), Zaire (6) , Luanda Sul (4), Cuanza Sul (3), Huambo and Namibe (2) and Moxico and Cunene (1).

The deaths occurred in the provinces of Luanda and Huambo, involving two men aged between 48 and 64, according to the National Director of Public Health, Elga Freitas.

Speaking at covid-19 data update session of the last 24 hours, the official said that the country recorded 92 new cases, aged 1- 67.

Of this number, Luanda has 39, Huambo (23), Zaire (9), Lunda Norte (4), the same number in Lunda Sul, Moxico and Cabinda, while Cuando Cubango and Bié with 3 and 2 respectively.

The country has currently 18, 066 confirmed cases. Of these, 4,939 are following treatment, 12,712 recovered and 415 dead, according to the National Director for Public Health.
