Africa Educates Her Campaign - Angola. Season 3. Don't Miss Out! Webisode 30

Our girls back to school campaign is ongoing. Day 30

Primary pupils in Angola face closed schools since March 2020, due to covid-19.

However, the Angolan government announced plans to resume classes in primary education, as from February 10.

Today we invited Alice, she will share with us her academic experience during school lockdown.

Hello how are you?

I'm fine thanks.

What is your name?

My name is Alice.

Alice what is your class?

I study in the first class.

How old are you?

I am 7 years old.

Alice, when did you stop studying?

I stopped studying last year.

Why?

I stopped studying because of the coronavirus.

Now that the schools have reopened, have you returned to study?

Not yet, but I'm going back to school later this month.

What are the preventive measures against the coronavirus?

Keep one meter away from people, wash hands with soap and water and disinfect hands.

In this period that you are at home, have you been doing anything to continue learning?

Yes, I have been studying at home reviewing my notebooks.

Are you missing your colleagues and teacher?

I miss them so much and would like to see them again.

Are you afraid of the coronavirus?

I'm afraid.

It shall pass, don't worry.
