COVID-19: ANGOLA REPORTS 132 NEW CASES, 55 RECOVERIES

 The health authorities announced Friday the registration of 132 new cases, 55 recoveries and one death.

According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, who was speaking at the usual updating session, there were 57 patients in Luanda, 23 in Zaire, 22 in Cuanza Norte, 7 in Cuanza Sul, 8 in Huambo, five in Cuando Cubango, 4 in Lunda Sul, 3 in Cabinda, one in Benguela, one in Bié and also one in Uíge.

The group of new patients is composed of 83 men and 49 women, aged from 3 months to 71 years.

Franco Mufinda also announced the death of a 20-year-old Angolan resident in Luanda.

Of those recovered, he said, 31 were in Luanda, 10 in Benguela, 8 in Huambo and 6 in Malanje.

Angola has 15,493 positive cases, 353 deaths, 8,299 recovered and 6,841 active people.

Of the active cases, three are in critical condition with invasive mechanical ventilation, eight severe, 99 moderate, 157 with mild symptoms and 6,574 asymptomatic.
