Covid-19: Angola reports 247 new cases, five deaths, 79 recoveries

 The Angolan health authorities announced Friday the registration of 247 new infections, five deaths and 79 recovered patients.

HEALTH MINISTER, SÍLVIA LUTUCUTA

According to the Minister of Health, Sílvia Lutucuta, who was speaking at a press conference on the epidemiological situation of Covid-19 in the country, 203 new cases were registered in Luanda, 23 in Cabinda and 21 in Benguela.

According to the government, these are 139 male and 108 female patients, whose ages range from one to 72 years old.

As for the five deaths, she pointed out, four are patients from Luanda and one from Namibe.

Silvia Lutucuta reported that 79 people recovered from Covid-19, 56 of them in Luanda and 23 in Bié.  

The country counted 8.829 positive cases, with 265 deaths, 3.384 recovered and 5.180 active.

Of the active cases, nine are in critical condition with invasive mechanical ventilation, 21 severe and 121 moderate.
