Covid-19: Angola records 220 recoveries, 159 new cases

 Angola announced on Saturday that 220 patients have recovered from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

This was announced by minister of Health, Sílvia Lutucuta, who also confirmed 159 new infections and three deaths.

Speaking at a press conference on Covid-19 data, Lutucuta said that of the new positive cases, 152 were from Luanda, followed by the provinces of Cabinda with four, Benguela (two) and Zaire (one).

The new infections, she said, involve citizens with ages ranging from one to 67 years, of whom 103 men and 56 female.

As for deaths, the minister informed that there were three deaths in the province of Luanda, aged between 54 and 69 years old, one of whom was of Portuguese nationality.
 

Angola has 5,370 positive cases, 193 deaths, 2,436 recovered and 2,751 active.
