Angola gains first financial laboratory

With the aim of training national officials in terms of financial study, analysis and research, the country will have, as of Thursday (08), the first financial laboratory, in a partnership between the Angolan government and the US multinational Bloomberg.

According to a note received Wednesday at Angop, the financial laboratory, with Bloomberg terminals at the Agostinho Neto University Economics Faculty (UAN), will be inaugurated by the minister for Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Maria do Rosário Bragança, and by the chairman of the board of the Private Investment and Export Promotion Agency (AIPEX), António Henriques da Silva.

The laboratory will operate as an extension project of the courses of Economics, Accounting, Management and Administration, focused on financial education, activities and studies, highlighting the importance of practical financial knowledge, besides contributing to the financial education of society.

Bloomberg, based in New York, is a world leader in financial and business information and has information terminals in banks, investment funds, brokers and insurance companies worldwide.
