The Angolan Government provides AKz 7 million for micro business

 At least seven million kwanzas is the amount made available as of Tuesday for each micro-business, as part of the economic relief measures approved in April by the Government, the secretary of state for the economy, Mário Caetano João said today.

According to the Secretary of State, the material, technical and operational conditions are in place to implement the provision of AKz 4 billion in the line of support for micro-credit, enshrined in Presidential Decree 98/20 and aimed at providing access to credit for formal and informal micro-entrepreneurs in the country.

Speaking at the usual "briefing" on the actions of the Ministry of Economy and Planning (MEP) in the last seven days, Mário Caetano João stressed that the entrepreneurial class will thus be able to access the maximum amount of AKz 7 million, provided that they meet the requirements practiced by the Microcredit companies adhering to the line. 

Last week the Angolan Active Venture Capital Fund (FACRA) transferred two billion kwanzas to microcredit companies and credit cooperatives for that purpose.

According to the secretary of state, the companies include KixiCrédido, Facilcred, Multicrédito, Wiliete Crédito, Nespecred, Gingacred, KifCrédito and the Angolan Forum of Young Entrepreneurs (FAJE) Cooperative.

Eligible areas include agriculture, with an emphasis on the production of cereals, oilseeds, tubers and vegetables.

Also included laying poultry, the purchase of cattle for fattening and slaughter, food processing and production of drinks, logistics and distribution of agri-food and fisheries products, as well as aquaculture.

It also includes the recycling of solid and urban waste, the provision of transport services and professional training, development of software and tourism, art and cultural production.
