Covid-19: Angola reports 52 new infections and four deaths

 The health authorities have registered 52 new positive cases and four deaths in the last 24 hours.

According to the secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, who was updating on the Covid-19 pandemic, these were five patients in Cabinda, three in Bié, two in Zaire, four in Benguela and 36 diagnosed in Luanda.

The newly infected, he said, are aged between one month and 81 years, 32 males and 20 females.

In relation to the deaths, Franco Mufinda said that these were four national citizens, aged 54, 61 and 66.

The country has 3,033 positive cases, with 124 deaths, 1,215 recovered and 1,694 active.

Of the active cases, three are in critical condition with invasive mechanical ventilation, 19 severe, 48 moderate, 44 with mild symptoms and 1,580 asymptomatic.

Of the active cases, 384 were admitted to treatment centres throughout the country.
