Covid-19: Angola reports 30 new infections, one death, eight recoveries





Thirty new positive cases of covid-19, one death and eight recoveries have been detected in Angola since the latest update, the Health minister, Sílvia Lutucuta, said Monday evening in Luanda.

Speaking at a press conference as part of the daily covid-19 update, Sílvia Lutucuta said the new cases were reported in the capital, Luanda, the country’s epicentre of the pandemic.

She mentioned those newly infected as being eight to 79 years of age, 16 males and 14 females. The dead is a Chinese national who was in critical condition for some time.

With the latest data, Angola’s covid-19 figures stand at 2.654 positive cases, 108 deaths, 1.071 recoveries and 1.475 active patients.
