Covid-19: 112 new infections and 30 recoveries reported

  At least 112 new positive cases of covid-19 have been detected in Angola in the last 24 hours, as well as three deaths and 30 recoveries.

The information was released Thursday evening in Luanda by the secretary of state for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, during the daily covid-19 update.

 

According to him, the new infections have been located in southern Huíla province (12), central Huambo (03), central Benguela (03) and one in southeastern Cuando Cubango, its first. All 49 other infections have been detected in the capital, Luanda.

The official stated that the group of people infected have ages from one to 83 years, including 61 males and 51 females.

The dead are three males from the provinces of Luanda, Bengo and Cuando that has just joined the regions infected. Southeastern Namibe province remains free from covid-19.

With the new data, Angola’s covid-19 statistics show 4,475 positive cases, 162 deaths, 1,503 recoveries and 2,810 active patients.
