The information was released Thursday evening in Luanda by the Health minister, Sílvia Lutucuta, who said one death was recorded in the same period.

Delivering the daily covid-19 update briefing, the minister said the positive cases include 12 females, all in the capital Luanda.

She said the dead was a patient who was in critical condition in a Luanda covid-19 hospital.

The minister also explained that the positive cases were detected following a mass testing operation in places of high concentration of people like markets, police and military facilities and screening centres. With these new cases, Angola’s covid-19 statistics show 458 positive cases, 23 deaths, 117 recoveries and 319 active patients
