ANGOLA REPORTS 228 NEW INFECTIONS, 188 RECOVERIES



Luanda – Angola has recorded in the last 24 hours 228 new positive cases of Covid-19, two deaths and 188 recoveries.

The information was released Friday evening in Luanda by the Health authorities, during the daily Covid-19 briefing.  

According to the secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, Luanda recorded 209 cases, northern Cabinda (6), northern Uige (6), central Huambo ( 4), central Bié (1), northern Bengo (1) and northern Cuanza Norte (1).

The new patients with ages ranging from four months to 85 years, include 118 males and 110 females. The dead are two Angolan nationals from the capital , Luanda.

Luanda reported   179 recoveries, while central Cuanza Sul province announced five, central Benguela (3) and northern Zaire (1).

Angola’s Covid-19 statistics so far show 25.279 positive cases, 574 deaths, 23.089 recoveries and 1.616 active patients.
