Covid-19: Angola registers 56 new infections

Luanda - Fifty six new positive cases, one death and one recovery is the balance of the previous 24 hours (until Saturday), as announced by the Angolan health authorities last evening.



According to the secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, who was updating the data, ten cases were recorded in the province of Benguela, six in Huambo province and forty in Luanda .

Among the new cases there are citizens aged between 07 and 74 years old, 38 male and 18 female.

Regarding the death, Franco Mufinda said that he is a 78-year-old Angolan citizen from the province of Luanda.

The recovered patient is also from the province of Luanda.

In the country's treatment centres, 430 patients are hospitalized and undergoing medical follow-up.

Angola has 3,335 positive cases, 132 deaths, 1,289 recovered and 1,914 diseased.

Of the diseased, four are critical with invasive mechanical ventilation, 25 severe, 44 moderate, 62 have mild symptoms and 1,779 asymptomatic.
