Africa Educates Her Campaign with Sofonie Dala. Do not miss this episode. Day 13

Africa Educates Her Campaign is live in Angola

The coronavirus pandemic has severely affected the education sector in Africa, with mounting worries that it will take some time for many African countries to recover.

The disruptions are projected to end or seriously delay the education of 20 million secondary-school-age girls.

Girls in Angola are worried about falling behind or having to quit altogether, citing distractions at home and financial hits from the lockdowns.

For this reason, we are running our Africa Educates Her Campaign in order to bring girls back to school.

Our today's guest is Deolinda she will share her experiences during lockdowns.

Deolinda says that her academic development has slowed a lot, she feels the need to attend school. The covid-19 affected her negatively.

She recommends that government officials create conditions of social distance and offer bio-security materials in schools.

I particularly know this girl, during the pandemic she was forced to look for a job to help her family during this difficult time. She spends all day washing dishes and serving customers in a small restaurant near her house.

The poor girl doesn't even have time to study at home.

Do not miss this opportunity to bring girl's back to school, please join us!

Share your experiences learning/teaching during the school closures & the projects or initiatives you've launched to get girls back to school post #COVID19 in your local communities.
