Presidential couple socialises with children

Luanda - Angolan presidential couple João Lourenço and Ana Dias Lourenço Wednesday in Luanda met with more than 250 children from various groups of society, ahead of the early Christmas party.

The solidarity Christmas ceremony marks the "Roda do Amor" platform, running under the motto "Spinning ceaselessly, it only stops to offer love".

The event is an initiative of the First Lady's Office, similar to other events held since 2017.

The more than 250 children, who were welcomed by the presidential couple, include kids from accommodation centres of Luanda province, such as Minsfrom, Horizonte Azul and Kuzola.

The ceremony was also attended by Vice President of the Republic, Esperança da Costa, and other members of the Angolan Executive.

Addressing a ceremony, Ana Dias Lourenço called for love for one another, protection of the environment and continued compliance with the basic rules of prevention against Covid-19.

Similar event is also held in six provinces of the country: Bengo, Bié, Huila, Cuanza Norte, Malanje and Namibe.
