The reopening of schools occurs seven months after the suspension of in-person classes, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which has already infected 5530,citizens in Angola, with 199 deaths.
The classes resume under strong biosecurity measures, in a phased way, to avoid, at most, cases of new coronavirus contagion.
In a first phase, the university students and those in the Grades 6th, 9th, 12th and 13th who will have to comply strictly with the measures imposed by the health authorities of the country, will resume.
The use of the mask, the measurement of temperature, the social distancing and the disinfection of the hands become part of the students' school routine.
The school calendar foresees, for October 19th, the return of students of Grades 7th, 8th, 10th and 11th, all of them also from 2nd cycle of high school, while primary and 1st cycle start on October 26th.
With the classes divided into groups, in primary education and 1st cycle, the classes will last 02h30, while in the 2nd cycle of secondary education 03h30 of workload, without a break.
For this purpose, the school institutions must have the minimum conditions of biosecurity and physical distancing, sanitizing and make constant ventilation of the classrooms.
They must also manage waste according to biosafety rules, including daily emptying of waste containers and provision of sanitized containers at the beginning of each day of school activity.
