Speaking to the press, at the end of a meeting with the governor of Namibe province, Archer Mangueira, the diplomat said that the port sector was one of his priorities.

He said that a possible agreement would result in benefits for both countries in terms of exports and imports of products, including the modernisation of some services.

The education sector (scientific research at the Academy of Fisheries and Marine Sciences) is also an area of interest, according to Jozef Smets.

The diplomat acknowledged the rich tourist potential offered by Namibe province, from its biodiversity to the Yona Park, which is why Belgian businessmen should invest in this sector.
